Arnold Palmer is a professional American golfer, but also a really delicious beverage made out of iced tea and lemonade. I’m here to give you the recipe for the drink, not for the golfer.

INGREDIENTS (4-5 servings)

  • 2 lemons
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (60 grams)
    • feel free to add more sugar to taste
  • 4 teaspoons loose leaf tea of choice
    • I used a black tea with fig and blueberry
  • 1 liter of water (34 oz)

INSTRUCTIONS

TEA

Brew 500 ml of tea. That’s it! Let it chill in the fridge for a bit.

LEMONADE

Squeeze the juice of two lemons, mix it with 500 ml of water and 3 tablespoons (or more) of sugar.

SERVE

To serve, get the glass of your choice, add ice to it, fill it up half way through with lemonade, and the other half with iced tea. For a cool ombre effect, do respect that order: lemonade first, then tea. Garnish the drink with a thin slice of lemon in each glass.

Here’s a short video of how I made it:

I didn't grow up with a lot, so I’ve always loved thrifting and finding a good sale. That also shapes my approach to cooking: I try to make most of my recipes as affordable as possible, and that is what my SCRAPS newsletter is about.
