One word: REFRESHING! A beautiful and refreshing dish, perfect for when you’re having people over for a casual gathering, effortlessly cool , fun to eat and easily customizable!

I’m using homemade pita bread instead of the classic tortilla for these tacos, if you’d like to do the same, you can find the recipe here!

INGREDIENTS ( 10-12 tacos)

  • SPICY GRAPE SALSA
    • 250 g green grapes
    • 1/2 avocado
    • 1 small shallot (can be substituted with red onion)
    • 1 serrano pepper
    • 1 inch of ginger
    • a small bunch of fresh parsley
    • 1/2 lime
    • salt
  • AVOCADOMASH
    • 1 1/2 avocado
    • 2 tablespoons extravirgin olive oil
    • juice of 1/2 lime
    • salt and pepper
  • 2 RADICCHIOS (100 g)
    • can be substituted with red cabbage
  • QUESO FRESCO
  • TACO SHELLS
  • 1 LARGE BEER BATTERED FISH FILET

SPICY GRAPE SALSA

Chop all the shallot, garlic, serrano pepper into really tiny cubes, finely chop the parsley an zest the lime.
Cut the grapes into quarters and cut the half of an avocado into cubes.
Mix all the ingredients together, adding the juice of half of a lime and a pinch of salt.

AVOCADO MASH

Pretty self-explanatory: mash the remaining avocado (1 1/2 avocado) with a fork, adding the juice of 1/2 of a lime, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt and pepper. If you prefer a smoother texture, blend all the ingredients together in a food processor or blender.

RADICCHIO

All you have to do with it is shred the radicchio, add some salt and pepper and drizzle some olive oil if you want.

BEER BATTERED FISH

While I can appreciate a grilled white fish, I think a deep fried beer-battered one will work a lot better for this recipe , the taco having so many other refreshing components to add brightness to the dish and balance the greasiness of the fish out.

ASSEMBLY

The process of assembling the taco goes like this:
